GB/T 6587-2012 "General Specification for Electronic measuring instruments" is a standard designed to specify the terminology, requirements, test methods and mass inspection rules of electronic measuring instruments (including systems and auxiliary equipment). This standard applies to all types of electronic measuring instruments and serves as the main technical basis for Product Research & Development, design, production, acceptance and inspection. It is also the principle and basis for the development of electronic measuring instrument product standards and Miscellaneous technical documents, providing guidance and standards for ensuring the performance and mass of instruments. The standard also refers to a series of normative reference documents, including GB/T 2828.1-2003 (count sampling inspection procedures), GB 4793.1-2007 (safety requirements for electrical equipment), GB 4824 (limits of electromagnetic disturbance characteristics of radio frequency equipment and Measuring method), etc., to ensure compliance with the provisions of these documents. In addition, the standard also includes a series of terms and definitions, some of which are derived from GB/T 2828.1-2003, to ensure that consistent terms and definitions are used in the standard to promote conformity and understanding of the standard.
