This standard specifies the terms, definitions, classifications, symbols, tooth types, tolerances, requirements, inspection methods, marks and Encasements for trapezoidal thread gauges with a tooth profile angle of 30 °, nominal diameter from 8 mm to 300 mm, and pitch from 1.5 mm to 44 mm. The standard applies to inspection of single-wire trapezoidal threads specified in GB/T 5796-1986. The standard defines in detail the technical requirements and performance standards for trapezoidal thread gauges, including the different uses and performance requirements for working thread gauges and proofreading thread gauges.
