This standard specifies a method for the determination of calcium, copper, iron, potassium, mg, manganese, sodium, nickel and zinc in cobalt powder by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). It is suitable for the determination of the content of the above elements in cobalt powder, including copper, potassium, mg, manganese, sodium and zinc in the determination range of 0.001% to 0.01%, calcium in the determination range of 0.002% to 0.01%, iron and nickel in the determination range of 0.002% to 0.05%.
