GB/T 42654-2023 "Test method for initialized corrosion of copper and copper alloys in seawater" specifies the method for evaluating the corrosion resistance of copper and copper alloys in seawater environment. This standard describes in detail the principle, test conditions, reagents, equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, result evaluation and report preparation of samples initialized using sodium chloride-based initializing medium under two methods of swirl/spin disc test and pipeline initialization test. It is suitable for evaluating the resistance of copper and copper alloy pipes to initialized corrosion performance in seawater environment. Miscellaneous copper and copper alloy materials can be similarly determined with reference to this standard.
