This standard specifies the principle, specimen, test equipment, test procedure, treatment of test results and test report of the room temperature shear test method for metal sheets and thin strips. It is suitable for the determination of the room temperature shear performance of metal sheets and thin strips with a thickness of 0.5 mm to 3 mm. Plates above 3 mm can be implemented with reference to this document.
