This standard specifies the test methods for the loss on ignition of asbestos rubber sheets and oil-resistant asbestos rubber sheets, corrosion to metal materials, oil sealing, heat and pressure resistance, etc. It is applicable to the performance evaluation of asbestos rubber sheets and oil-resistant asbestos rubber sheets. If the sample size is suitable, it can also be applied to sealing gaskets made of these materials. Miscellaneous Non-metallic sealing gasket materials can also be tested by reference to this standard.
