Part 1 of this standard specifies the determination of hydrostatic resistance in the impermeability performance of geosynthetics. It is suitable for all types of geosynthetic impermeability materials, such as geomembrane, composite geomembrane and geosynthetic waterproof membrane materials, etc. Miscellaneous waterproof and impermeable materials can be used by reference. The standard covers the evaluation of the waterproof performance of materials through static hydraulic testing, which provides an important basis for material selection in civil engineering and related fields.
