This standard describes in detail methods for testing the porosity of nonwovens using mass-density and true volume methods. Applicable to all types of nonwovens, except for fluffy ones. By measuring porosity, the void structure of nonwovens and their permeability to gases and liquids can be evaluated, providing a basis for material selection and quality control.
