This part specifies the test method for the determination of trace moisture in gases using quartz crystal oscillation method. It is suitable for the determination of trace water in the range of 0.1 × 10-6 to 2000 × 10-6 volume fraction in gases such as hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, helium, neon, argon, sulfur hexafluoride, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide and their mixed gases. It is not suitable for gases that can corrosion quartz crystals or react with moisture. Moisture content is detected by the vibration frequence change of quartz crystals. It is suitable for moisture measurement in various gas purity and industrial applications.
