This section specifies the test method for the determination of trace moisture in gases using the optical cavity ring-down Light spectrum method. This method is suitable for the accurate measurement of moisture in gases with a volume fraction of 0.2 × 10-9 to 20 × 10-6. It is not suitable for gas components that interfere with the Light spectrum. The method is based on the attenuation of light in an optical cavity and is used for the detection of gas purity and moisture in industrial processes.
