This document describes the test methods for the thermal resistance, moisture resistance, and moisture permeability performance of the whole shoe, which is applicable to the determination of the whole shoe matched to the test prosthesis foot. The document refers to a number of normative documents, including footwear terminology, laboratory water specifications and test methods, footwear environment regulation and test standard environment. The terms and definitions section defines the concepts of thermal resistance, moisture resistance, moisture permeability performance, and moisture absorption and vapor permeability performance, and explains the meaning of the coefficient of variation.
