The personnel using this document should have practical experience in regular laboratory work, as the document does not indicate all possible safety issues. It is the responsibility of the user to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the conditions stipulated in the relevant national regulations. This document describes the test method for the determination of copper, iron, bismuth, lead, antimony, arsenic, aluminum, zinc, tin, silver, nickel and cobalt content in tin using Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) method. It is suitable for the determination of copper, iron, bismuth, lead, antimony, arsenic, aluminum, zinc, cadmium, silver, nickel and cobalt in tin. The measurement range of bismuth, lead, antimony and arsenic is 0.002% to 0.050%, and the measurement range of copper, iron, aluminum, zinc, cadmium, silver, nickel and cobalt is 0.0003% to 0.050%. In the principle part, the sample is dissolved with hydrofluoric acid (or muriatic acid) and nitric acid mixed acid. In the acid medium, the emission intensity of each element is measured on the Inductance coupling plasma Atomic EmissionSpectrometer, and the mass fraction of each element is calculated according to the working Linear dispersion method. The document cites the specifications and test methods for analyzing laboratory water. Terms and definitions are not defined in this document.
