This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test apparatus, specimen preparation, test conditions, test procedures, presentation of test results and test reports for the combustion test of building materials that do not produce combustion droplets, for the measurement of mass loss per unit area and combustion heat release. The test apparatus includes a test furnace, consisting of a combustion chamber, a combustion device and measurement equipment, arranged inside a closed space.
