This standard applies to the inspection of the flame retardant performance of a single Wire and cable when it is directly burned with a specified flame in a horizontal state, and specifies the horizontal combustion test equipment and methods, and gives recommended performance requirements. The specimen should be intercepted from the finished Wire and cable or soft online, and the length is about 250mm. Before the test, ensure that the specimen, equipment and surrounding air reach thermal equilibrate at (23.0 ± 5.0) ° C temperature. The ignition source should meet the specified laboratory blowtorch standard and be calibrated regularly. The laboratory should have airtightness and appropriate volume.
