This standard specifies a method for dispersing pigments and extenders using an oscillating mill, which is suitable for low viscosity grinding materials. This method is mainly used for pigment quality control, especially when comparing small samples in closed systems. The oscillating mill dispersion method can reduce solvent loss and needs to be used in combination with GB/T 21867 and GB/T 21868.1. Due to its focus on low viscosity systems, this method is not suitable for the optimization of grinding material formulations for Miscellaneous dispersion technology.
