Each test of the surface coating material requires a sample plate on which the coating film has been uniformly applied at the specified thickness. An important and commonly used method for the manufacture of such panels is a Film Applicator with an applicator blade or spiral that is pulled across the panel by hand or by an electric motor drive. ERICHSEN Film Applicators are designed to be easy to use and clean.

The Baker Film Applicator is available in four wet film thicknesses of 40, 60, 90 and 120 μm and 10 film widths from 25 to 250 mm with 4 different film thickness gaps. The device is corrosion-resistant.
