Hardness of film coatings is tested by pencil scratch method according to GB1279-79 standard.

Application

The hardness of the coating film is the final test index for the quality certification of the coating manufacturing and coating use (coating surface) industry. The pencil scratch method to test the hardness of the coating film is a test method that has been widely used internationally since the 80s. This instrument is designed and manufactured according to the national standard "pencil determination method of coating film hardness" GB6379 manual operation method. The instrument can be used in the laboratory ̧ or on the construction site.

Structure and working principle

The instrument is mechanical, the three-point contact with the measured surface is always guaranteed to form a 45° angle between the pencil and the measured surface, and the test process can be completed by pushing the instrument to move.

Requirements for use

1. GB1279-79 coating film general preparation method to prepare three pieces of inspection pieces ̧ generally smooth tinplate 120×50× (0.2-0.3) mm ̧ or the substrate and size specified separately by the product.

2. Experimental conditions: according to the conditions specified in the product standards or construction requirements.
