Two Methods of Adhesion Testing

Abstract: 附着力测试评估漆膜与基材之间的粘附性,主要受涂料润湿性和基材表面粗糙度影响。常用的附着力测试方法有两种:横切法和拉脱法。横切法适用于现场施工,使用的刀具可为单刃或多刃,或使用电动横切附着力测试仪。相关标准包括ISO 2409、ASTM D 3359和GB/T 9286。拉脱法则用于测量将涂膜从基材上剥离所需的力,数据表示附着力的大小。拉脱法测试仪器包括手动机械式和气动式。

Adhesion refers to the sum of the adhesion between the paint film and the substrate. The two main factors that affect the adhesion between the paint film and the substrate are the wetting of the paint to the substrate and the surface roughness of the substrate.

There are two main methods of adhesion test: cross-cut method and pull-off method.

The cross-cut method can be used for testing and is more suitable for on-site construction. Relevant test standards include ISO 2409, ASTM D 3359 and GB/T 9286. The knives used for cross-cutting can be single-edged or multi-edged, and there is also an electric cross-cut adhesion Tester.

The pull-off method belongs to the peel test method. It is mainly used to measure the work required to peel the coating film from the substrate, or the force required to pull the coating film from the substrate for a certain area in the vertical direction. Data can be used to represent the size of the adhesion. The test instruments of the pulling method are divided into manual mechanical and pneumatic.
