An Miao AC-110A paint surface Tester is a battery-powered portable measuring instrument, which uses the principle of magnetic induction and eddy current. The measurement method complies with international standards ISO2178, ISO2360 and national standards Gb4956, Gb4957. AC-110A paint surface Tester adopts computer technology, non-destructive testing technology and other professional technologies, and can accurately measure the thickness of the measured object without damaging it.

Features

* The F-type probe can directly measure the thickness of the non-magnetic coating layer (such as: paint, plastic, enamel, copper, aluminum, zinc, chromium, etc.) on the surface of magnetic-conductive materials (such as iron and nickel). It can be applied to the thickness measurement of electroplating layer, paint layer, enamel layer, aluminum tile, copper tile, babbitt tile, phosphating layer, paper, and also can be used for thickness measurement of hull paint and attachments of underwater structural parts.

measurement procedure

1) Press the power button lightly, and after the whole machine is powered on, AMITTARI AC-110A Coating Thickness Gauge automatically enters the measurement state and automatically restores the parameter settings before the last shutdown.

2) After confirming that the calibration is correct, the measurement can be started. If in doubt about previous calibrations, refer to the Calibration section of the instrument.

3) Once the AC-110A Coating Thickness Gauge is calibrated, the calibration result will be automatically stored in the instrument, and it is not necessary to calibrate again when the instrument is turned on for measurement next time, unless there is doubt about the accuracy of the measurement.

4) Press the measurement sensor onto the coating to be tested, and the value on the display is the measured value of the coating to be tested.

Note: Since all magnetic coating Thickness Gauges use the principle of electromagnetic induction; non-magnetic coating Thickness Gauges use the principle of eddy current, it must be noted that the probe of the AC-110A coating Thickness Gauge is pressed against the measured object The speed cannot be too slow. Otherwise, it will cause artificial measurement error.

5) For the next measurement, the measurement sensor needs to be lifted above one centimeter, and then repeat 4.3.

6) If necessary, the measured value can be corrected by adding or subtracting one key. It should be noted that when the plus or minus key is pressed to correct, the measuring probe must be lifted, and the plus or minus key is invalid.

7) To change the measurement unit, to realize the conversion between mm and mil, just press the unit conversion button lightly. To change the measurement mode and realize the conversion between single measurement and continuous measurement, just press the power button lightly and hold until "SC" appears on the display (it takes about 9 seconds from pressing the power button to "SC" appears ). Then, press the ZERO key again. If there is a symbol on the display, it means that the measurement mode is continuous measurement, and the buzzer will not sound during measurement. Otherwise, it is a single measurement mode, and the buzzer will sound once for each measurement.

8) After measuring, press the power button to turn off the power. The AMITTARI AC-110A Coating Thickness Gauge has two shutdown modes, namely manual shutdown and automatic shutdown. At any time, just press the power button lightly to turn off the power of the whole machine manually; on the other hand, if no button is pressed within 50 seconds, it will automatically shut down to realize the power saving function .

Instrument Calibration

Press the measuring probe on the reference block (or the uncoated measuring body), and then lightly press the power/zero key to perform zero calibration. When pressing the power/zero key, the measuring probe should not shake on the reference block. At the same time, it should be noted that the probe can only be lifted after pressing the power/zero key, otherwise, the zero calibration will be incorrect.

Precautions for use

1) Selection principle of reference block: the selection of reference block should be consistent with the selected probe. When selecting the iron-based F probe, the reference block should be iron-based.

2) In order to reduce the influence of the material of the measuring body on the measurement accuracy, it is recommended to use the measuring body without coating or the standard test block with the same material as the measuring body as the reference block for calibration.

3) After the measurement is completed, press the power button lightly to turn off the power of the whole machine. And apply a little grease on the contact of the measuring head and the reference block to prevent rust.

4) The AC-110A coating Thickness Gauge has an automatic shutdown function, and it will automatically shut down after about 50 seconds without any operation.

5) The instrument should be protected from severe vibration and impact. After use, wipe off the oil on the surface of the instrument and put it in the instrument box for safekeeping.

6) It is strictly forbidden to knock or collide with the probe so as not to affect the performance of the probe.

battery replacement

1) When the battery Voltage is about 2.5V, the battery symbol will appear on the display, and the battery needs to be replaced.

2) Open the battery cover and take out the battery.

3) Install the battery correctly according to the label on the battery box.
