The 1m 3 formaldehyde climate chamber is mainly used for the determination of free formaldehyde in consumer products such as wood products, furniture, floors, carpets, footwear products, and building decoration materials.
Put the test piece with known surface area into the test box where the temperature, humidity, air velocity and air replacement rate are controlled at a certain value. Formaldehyde is released from the test piece and mixed with the air in the box. The air in the box is regularly extracted, and the air is drawn from the box to measure the concentration of formaldehyde absorbed in the water through a washing bottle filled with water. The formaldehyde concentration of the air in the Test Chamber is calculated from the formaldehyde concentration in the scrubber bottle and the volume of the extracted air, expressed in milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3). Sampling is periodic until the formaldehyde concentration in the Test Chamber reaches equilibrium.
