Introduction

The universal coating Thickness Gauges of the Surfix®easy X series are suitable for everyday operation as well as for demanding laboratory measurements. The Surfix®easy X series is ideal for customers who want to measure coating thickness in a simple way, but also need statistical evaluation, wear resistance measurement and high production quality.

One-click calibration can be used to perform difficult measurement tasks. With this calibration function, also known as "zeroing", you can improve the accuracy of your measurements. Built-in online statistics quickly display mean and standard deviations as well as maximum and minimum measurements.

The Surfix®easy X is available as the Surfix®easy XI with an integrated probe as well as the Surfix®easy XE with an external, securely attached probe. Both models are available as a combination device FN for measuring coating thickness on iron/steel and non-ferrous metals, or as an F-type for measuring coating thickness on iron/steel only. Two proven thickness measurement methods were used: magnetic and eddy current (DIN EN ISO 2178 and 2360). Even in the case of thin coatings, both on steel and non-ferrous metals, both provide the highest precision. There are two methods used for FN types. When the probe is placed on the measurement object, the selection is done automatically.

Application

All probes of the Surfix®easy X series are designed with a V-groove so that stable vertical positioning can be made on horizontal, cylindrical or curved surfaces. Suitable for the following areas:

  • in the paint shop

  • Used in paint coating and powder coating technology

  • Used in automotive appraisal and automotive workshops

  • in steel construction, automobile manufacturing and shipbuilding

  • In the incoming goods area

  • in the production process

  • Final inspection and quality assurance

  • In the laboratory

Product Advantages:

  • Calibration-free measurements: Just open and measure

  • The backlit display is easy to read even in dark environments

  • "Zeroing" (single-point calibration) enables precise measurements on flat, rough and curved surfaces

  • Measurement of steel/non-ferrous metals by automatic identification of the base material

  • Online statistics (number, mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum)

  • Large landing area to ensure safe positioning

  • The sound signal when the reading is recorded

  • Switchabel units μm/mils

  • Manufacturer's test certificate

  • 2 years warranty
