TQC Sheen AutomaticCuppingThe Tester can be performed on coated steel platesCupping(Erichsen/Dent) test to define the resistance of paints, varnishes, or related products to cracking and/or detachment of metal substrates when they are progressively deformed due to indentation under standard conditions.
The test can be used as a "pass/fail" test by testing to a specified depth, or by gradually increasing the indentation to define the minimum depth of coating failure.
ISO1520 standard requires the panel to deform slowly and uninterruptedly at a steady rate between 0.1 mm/s and 0.3 mm/s. Especially for thicker steel plates, manual Testers do not always allow for uninterrupted deformation. automaticCuppingThe Tester is driven by a microstep-controlled electric motor that allows for precise and stable deformation with a stride of 0.01 mm. Uniquely, this deformation can be paused/resumed.
Each automaticCuppingThe Testers are equipped with the Triple I® navigation tool. This smart lighting interface guides the operator through the TQC Sheen laboratory machine. At each step of the action menu, the interface detects which buttons are active and displays them in a bright red center. This results in a very intuitive operating system, enhanced by information on the machine's full-color display.
automaticCuppingThe Tester has a variety of settings. Custom settings (optional) are password protected and statistics are displayed after the number of test runs set by each set. It is also possible to set the illumination of the specimen. To guarantee maximum visibility on all possible types of surfaces, including high-gloss, matte or colored samples, TQC Sheen is automaticCuppingThe Tester is equipped with a complementary lighting system that can change its color for great contrast. The intensity of the LED and the direction of the light source are adjustable.
The TQC Sheen Auto Cupping Tester has a TQC Sheen-Bus connection (LinQ system not included).
Cupping tests are required in Qualicoat and QIB accredited laboratories.
