Introduction

Rotational viscometers with temperature sensors measure liquid viscosity according to BS, ISO and ASTM standards

The PCE-RVI 2 V1L is a Rotational Viscometer for industrial and research applications to measure viscosity according to BS, ISO and ASTM standards. This digital viscometer is equipped with a plug-and-play sensor for temperature control to ensure accurate test results and is available with spindles L1, L2, L3 and L4 and the measurement results are displayed in millipascal seconds (mPa.s) or centipoise (cP), depending on the rotational speed and the type of spindle used.

Basic operations

Press the main switch to turn on the viscometer. Once the display shows the new saved parameters (spindle and rate), press the up or down button to find the applicable spindle and press the enter button to select it. Next, use the up and down buttons to find the rpm (rpm) and press the enter button to select it. The parameter "Range" informs you of the maximum measurable viscosity value for the selected spindle and speed. A "Press start" notification will appear. Make sure your sample is in place before pressing the start button, as the start button starts rotating the spindle and starts measuring.
