Introduction

The battery pinprick extrusion testing machine is a device used to test the safety and durability of batteries under specific pressure. This testing machine combines two testing methods: pinprick testing and extrusion testing. It is mainly used to evaluate the reaction of batteries under extreme physical stress. It can observe whether the battery will catch fire, explode or leak dangerous chemicals, thereby evaluating its performance under stress. Safety in case of severe physical injury. Works with many types of batteries, especially lithium-ion batteries, as they are more prone to dangerous reactions when physically damaged.

Applications

This machine is suitable for various types of battery acupuncture testing to simulate the situation when the battery is penetrated by external conductors and destroys the internal structure of the battery when processing household waste. 

Product principle

The test should be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20℃±5℃. Place the battery flat on the fixture and use a non-corroding stainless steel needle with a diameter of ф2~ф8mm to pierce the battery at a speed of 10mm/s~40mm/s. The center of the surface.

This instrument can meet the requirements of GB/T2900.11-1988, GB18287-2013 and other test methods.

Instrument installation

1. Operating environment requirements: room temperature within the range of 10℃-40℃; ambient humidity within 30%-80%

2. Operating power requirements: The machine power supply is 220V power supply

3. Others: The machine needs to be installed and positioned on a level and strong platform. 

Steps

1. Confirm the power supply Voltage of the whole machine;

2. Open the safety box door and place the battery horizontally between the two battery clamps (approximately the center position is sufficient).

3. Turn on the power (the fan in the safety box starts), press the reset button to clear, press "Peak", the corresponding "PEAK" indicator light will light up

4. Place the sample on the test bench of the battery acupuncture testing machine, so that the clamp clamps the battery.

5. Set the acupuncture time. After about 3 seconds, the cylinder moves down and the acupuncture test is automatically performed. After reaching the preset time, the cylinder automatically rises and the steel needle returns to its position. After about 3 seconds, the clamp automatically releases and the battery is taken out to complete a test.

6. Note: The magnetic sensitive switch plays the role of adjusting the working stroke.

Precautions

1. Test specimens should be non-deformed specimens or specimens with intact shell packaging to avoid affecting the test conclusion.

2. Operators need to undergo pre-job training, and please strictly abide by the test procedures during operation.

3. Do not open the door during the test to avoid accidents

4. Remove the tested specimen 5 minutes after the test is completed to avoid accidents

Maintenance procedures

1. Keep the testing machine clean;

2. Do not disassemble or assemble electrical appliances while power is on, otherwise electronic components may be easily damaged;

3. The shell of the testing machine should be reliably grounded;

4. Intermittent operation should be avoided during the test, otherwise the service life of the equipment will be affected; the operation should be done in one time as much as possible to reduce the number of inching operations.

5. Before starting the machine, lubrication should be carried out according to the specified lubrication parts and lubrication methods;

6. Disassembly and assembly should be carried out by professionals who understand the structure of the testing machine;

7. All valves on the testing machine should not be left open to prevent dust from entering the interior and affecting the sensitive performance of the measuring mechanism;

8. When the testing machine is out of service for a long time, anti-rust oil should be applied to the working surface and stored in a dry place;

9. All parts of the equipment should be wiped clean frequently, especially during the rainy season, and covered with a dust cover when not in use to prevent dust from intruding.
