The HI8734 is a rugged, portable TDS meter designed for use in a variety of environmental conditions. Equipped with a four-ring conductivity probe allowing three measurement ranges. TDS readings are adjusted with manual temperature compensation, ensuring users a consistent and accurate measurement of total solids solubility (TDS). Suitable for applications such as softening, desalination, reverse osmosis and drinking water. TDS Factor - The TDS value in an aqueous solution is directly proportional to the electrical conductivity EC. The ratio between the two parameters depends on the solution being measured. The TDS coefficient of HI8734 is set to 0.5, which is common in many solutions, which means that 1μS/cm is equal to 0.5mg/L (ppm) of TDS. One-point calibration - HI8733 can be calibrated in a standard TDS solution.
The three total solid solubility measurement ranges correspond to three buttons, making it easy to switch between different measurement ranges. There is no need to frequently change electrodes and perform tedious calibration steps when measuring multiple different samples. Manual single-point TDS calibration and manual temperature compensation knob perform temperature compensation on measurement readings to ensure accurate measurement and convenient operation. Adapted to the unique HI76301D four-ring conductivity electrode, made of PVC material, which is not only suitable for laboratory but also for field measurements. It is a good choice for TDS determination of total solid solubility in the field of water conditioning, water softening, reverse osmosis, desalination (demineralization) and drinking water.
