Introduction

YN-RRD1000T Microcomputer Softness Tester is a test instrument that simulates the softness of the hand, this instrument refers to the American Handle-O-Meter instrument test principle, according to the national standard GB/T 8942 "Determination of Paper Softness", ASTM D2923 "Standard Test Method for Hardness of Polyolefin Film and Sheet" and TAPPI T498 "Special Testing Instrument for Non-woven Softness" and other relevant regulations. Softness testing of composite materials such as thin films. It is a commonly used testing instrument for papermaking, scientific research units and quality inspection departments.

Test principle

Under the specified conditions, when the plate probe presses the sample into a certain depth (8mm) of the slit, the instrument records the sum of the bending resistance force of the sample itself and the maximum vector of the friction force at the gap between the sample itself, which is called the softness of the sample, and the smaller the instrument value, the softer the sample.
