This standard provides four accelerated aging methods for assessing changes in the performance of coated fabrics. Method A is designed to evaluate the heat loss of volatile matter in PVC coated fabrics. Volatile loss is determined by exposing the specimen to high temperatures and the mass loss of the coating is assessed to predict its performance change.
