This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test purposes, test conditions, test methods and test reports for locomotive rain tests. It is applicable to the type inspection of new locomotives and locomotives after major structural improvements, and also applies to locomotive factory inspection. Terms and definitions include rain tables, rain frames, etc. The purpose of the test is to check the airtightness of the internal structure of the locomotive body and the external suspension box or the effectiveness of drainage measures. Test conditions include environmental conditions, locomotive conditions and facility conditions.
