JJF 1571-2016 "Specification for calibrate of seawater turbidity measurement instrument" applies to calibrate of seawater turbidity measurement instrument. The standard describes in detail the working principle and compositional structure of turbidity measurement instrument, which is mainly used for measurement of light scattering of suspended particulate matter (PM) in seawater to quantitatively reflect its content. Measuring instrument is usually integrated on ocean observation equipment to achieve in situ real-time continuous measurement without sampling. Turbidity Sensors work through light source emission system and photoelectric detection system to determine turbidity based on reflection and scattered light of particulate matter (PM) in seawater, in NTU. The standard also covers the Light source emission direction and connection method of turbidity Sensors to ensure the accuracy and comparability of measurements, which is suitable for marine environment monitoring and scientific research.
