The national standard GB/T 44764-2024 Metal materials resistant to sulfide stress cracking in corrosive petroleum refining environments for the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries specifies the requirements for metal materials resistant to sulfide stress cracking (SSC) in corrosive petroleum refining environments. Applicable to environments where H2S is present, including in the gas phase and when dissolved in liquid water. The standard aims to provide guidance to refineries, equipment manufacturers, and engineering contractors to prevent SSC in equipment and components used in the petroleum refining industry and to ensure the integrity of the pressure-bearing system and equipment functionality. The standard is equivalent to ISO 17945:2015 international standards and will be implemented on May 1, 2025.
