GB/T 5527-2024 《Animal and vegetable fats and oils—Determination of refractive index》 Related products

"GB/T 5527-2024 Animal and vegetable oils, Determination of refractive index" is a newly revised national standard in China. It provides two methods for the determination of refractive index of animal and vegetable oils: Abbe refractometer method and automatic refractometer method. This standard is applicable to the determination of refractive index of animal and vegetable oils, but does not include milk fat and its products. The standard specifies in detail the definition of terms, principles, reagents, instruments, sample prepative, operation steps, result calculation, etc., aiming to improve the accuracy of oil quality control. The standard will be implemented on May 1, 2025, replacing GB/T 5527-2010.
