"GB/T 22500-2024 Animal and Vegetable Oils, Determination of UV Absorbance" is a newly formulated national standard in China, which aims to specify the determination method of UV Absorbance of animal and vegetable oils. The standard describes in detail the determination principle, required reagents, instruments and equipment, sample collection, sample preparation, analysis steps, result calculation, precision requirements, and preparation of test reports. It is suitable for the determination of UV Absorbance of animal and vegetable oils, but not for fats in milk and dairy products. The standard will be implemented on May 1, 2025, replacing GB/T 22500-2008.
