This standard defines how to calculate the tristimulus values of Color stimuli, CIE tristimulus values, for quantifying the Light spectrum properties of Color. The method is applicable to Color produced by self-luminous Light sources or reflection/transmission objects. The standard specifies Light spectrum data collection using measurement intervals of 5 nm or less in the Wavelength range from 380 nm to 780 nm and recommends the use of extrapolation methods where necessary. The standard provides two methods of calculation: standard methods and alternative methods to meet different measurement needs. This standard supports the use of CIE 1931 and CIE 1964 standard Colorimetric observers, ensuring conformity and accuracy of Color matching under different conditions.
