The ISO 1 2625-5: 2016 standard specifies a method for determining the wet tensile strength of tissue and tissue products after immersion in water. The wet tensile strength refers to the maximum tensile strength of the specimen after immersion in water, expressed in unit width. The standard applies to two types of tensile strength testing equipment: vertical and horizontal placement types, and the test process includes detailed specimen preparation and measurement procedures. The revised version of this standard has been updated in specimen preparation, measurement procedures and reporting requirements compared to the previous version to improve the accuracy and conformity of the test. The accuracy data is provided in the appendix to help users better understand and apply the standard.
