ASTM D6677-18 《Standard Test Method for Evaluating Adhesion by Knife》 Related products
The standard provides an easy way to assess coating adhesion. Adhesion is assessed by cutting the coating surface with a blade, observing how easily the coating is removed from the substrate and the size of the coating chip. This qualitative test, although subjective, is widely used in industrial practice and can provide valuable adhesion information. Compared to Miscellaneous adhesion test methods (e.g. pull-off test or tape test), this method is more intuitive and is not suitable for overly thick coatings. It is suitable for laboratory and field testing.
