This standard specifies the use of tantalum reagent (BPHA) extraction Spectrophotometric method, spectrophotometry method for the determination of vanadium content in water and wastewater, suitable for the determination range of 0.018 mg/L to 10.0 mg/L. The method is extracted with a mixed solution of trichloromethane and ethanol after forming a pink complex with pentavalent vanadium in a strongly acidic medium, and finally spectrophotometric determination at 440 nm.
