This standard specifies a method for the determination of ammonia content in cosmetics. It is suitable for the detection of ammonia content in cosmetics such as hair dye products and perm products. The detection limit is 0.1% and the quantification limit is 0.2%. The method is not suitable for products containing specific ammonium raw materials. After the sample is treated with barium chloride, ammonia is absorbed by distillation and Boricacid, and finally titrated and quantified with muriatic acid standard solution.
