This standard specifies the method for the determination of nitrogen content in ferrochromium nitride and high-nitrogen ferrochromium nitride using the distillation-neutralized Titrimetric method. It is suitable for the determination of ferrochromium nitride (2.00%~ 7.00% nitrogen content) and high-nitrogen ferrochromium nitride (> 7.00%~ 12.00% nitrogen content). The sample is easily dissolved in muriatic acid, and the insoluble material is treated with muriatic acid, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid to convert nitrogen into ammonia salts. Ammonia is separated by distillation under the action of excess alkali, steam is absorbed in Boricacid solution, and titration is carried out with methyl red-methylene blue as an indicator and with sulfamic acid standard solution. All reagents should be analytically pure, and high-purity water should be used to ensure the accuracy of analytical results.
