This standard specifies three methods for the determination of molybdenum content in ferromolybdenum: lead molybdate weighting method, ammonium metavanadate Titrimetric method, and 8-hydroxyquinoline weighting method. Applicable to samples with molybdenum content ranging from 50.00% to 75.00%. In the lead molybdate weighting method, the sample is dissolved with nitric acid, ammonium fluoride, and muriatic acid, and the interfering elements are removed with sodiumhydrate, which is then reacted with lead acetate to produce lead molybdate settling, which is weighed after filtration washing and burning to calculate the molybdenum content. The reagents used in all methods must be analytically pure to ensure the accuracy of the determination results.
