This standard specifies two methods for the determination of sulfur content in ferrotitanium: the infrared absorption method and the combustion neutralized Titrimetric method. The infrared absorption method is suitable for sulfur content in the range of 0.005% to 0.045%. The sulfur dioxide produced by combustion samples in a high frequency induction furnace is measured in an infrared analyzer to determine the concentration of sulfur. The combustion neutralized Titrimetric method is suitable for sulfur content in the range of 0.005% to 0.070%. Determination of sulfur content using chemical titration method. The standard also lists the specification requirements for the required reagents and materials to ensure the accuracy and Reliability of the determination.
