This standard specifies the use of EGTA-CyDTA Titrimetric method for the determination of calcium and mg content in iron ore. This method is suitable for natural iron ore, iron concentrate, sinter and pellet samples. The determination range of calcium content is 1.5% to 15.0%, and the mg content is greater than 1.0%. During the test, the sample is analyzed with muriatic acid and nitric acid and then filtered. The residue is removed with hydrofluoric acid to remove silicon. Subsequently, impurities such as iron, aluminum and titanium are settled with ammonia and potassium hydroxide. Finally, the content of calcium and mg is determined by EGTA-CyDTA Titrimetric method. This standard provides a method for accurate measurement of calcium mg content in iron ore, which is of great significance for ore quality control and resource assessment.
