GB/T 223.7-2002 《Iron powder--Determination of iron content--Potassium dichromate titration method》 Related products

This standard specifies a method for the determination of iron content in iron powders by the potassium dichromate Titrimetric method, applicable to iron powders with iron content greater than 96%. The test process begins by dissolving the sample with muriatic acid and using indigo or sodium tungstate as an indicator. During the reduction process, ferric is reduced to divalent iron using tin dichloride and titanium trichloride, followed by oxidation of excess trivalent titanium with dilute potassium dichromate solution. Finally, sodium dianiline sulfonate is used as an indicator and titrated to the end point with potassium dichromate standard solution. This method ensures accurate measurement of iron powder with high iron content.
