GB/T 223.13-2000 《Methods for chemical analysis of iron, steel and alloy--The ammonium ferrous sulfate titrationmethod for the determination of vanadium content》 Related products

This standard specifies a technical method for the determination of vanadium content in steel and alloys using the Titrimetric method of ammonium ferrous sulfate, which is suitable for samples with vanadium content in the range of 0.100% to 3.50%. This method is not suitable for samples containing higher proportions of cobalt, cerium, chromium, manganese or tungsten, or samples with vanadium content less than 0.4%. During the analysis, the sample is first dissolved by acid, the vanadium is potassiumhy permanganate oxidation in phosphoric acid medium, the excess potassiumhy permanganate is reduced with sodium nitrite, and then the excess sodium nitrite is analyzed with urea. Vanadium is titrated with a standard solution of ammonium ferrous sulfate as an indicator. This method guarantees the accuracy and Reliability of Vanadium Content Determination.
