GB/T 223.36-1994 《Methods for chemical analysis of iron, steel and alloy--The neutral titration method for the determination of nitrogen content after distillation separation》 Related products

This standard specifies a method for determining the amount of nitrogen in alloy steels and superalloys by distillation separation - neutralizing Titrimetric method. The scope of application includes alloy steels and superalloys with a nitrogen content of 0.010% to 0.50%, but not for silicon steels and their profiles. During the test, the sample is analyzed with acid, in which the nitrogen is converted to the ammonium salt of the corresponding acid. Under the action of excess alkali, ammonia is distillation separated in the form of water vapor and absorbed through Boricacid solution. Finally, the absorption solution is titrated using sulfamic acid standard solution to determine the nitrogen content. The purity requirements of the reagents are specified in the standard. All reagents and water should be low in nitrogen to ensure the accuracy of the determination.
