This standard specifies two methods for the determination of aluminum content in molybdenum powder, molybdenum strips, molybdenum trioxide and ammonium molybdate: chrome azure S Spectrophotometric method, spectra-trophotometry and Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) method (ICP-AES). Method 1 is suitable for the determination of aluminum content from 0.0005% to 0.025%, and Method 2 is suitable for the determination of aluminum content from 0.005% to 1.00%.
