This standard describes a method for the determination of phosphorus content in rare earth ferroalloys using Bismuth Phosphorus Molybdenum Blue Spectrophotometric method, spectra-trophotometry. It is suitable for rare earth ferroalloys with phosphorus content in the range of 0.005% to 0.20%. The phosphorus content is finally calculated by spectrophotometer measurement through sample analysis and complex formation.
