The ISO 787-17 standard specifies a general test method for comparing the brightening power of white pigments. This method evaluates the brightening power of white pigments by comparing them with the brightening power of an agreed sample. The standard describes two procedures: Procedure A is suitable for testing a single pigment sample and is easy to operate; Procedure B is suitable for testing multiple samples, especially in the evaluation of pigments with unknown brightening power. This standard is widely used in the quality control and Product Research & Development of pigments and brighteners.
