This standard specifies two methods for the determination of aluminum content in ferrovanadium: chromium azure S Spectrophotometric method, spectra-trophotometry and EDTA Titrimetric method. The chromium azure S Spectrophotometric method, spectra-trophotometry is suitable for the range of aluminum content from 0.10% to 0.80%. The aluminum content is determined by forming a colored ligand between aluminum and chromium azure S and measuring Absorbance at a wavelength of 550 nm. The EDTA Titrimetric method is suitable for the range of aluminum content from 0.50% to 3.50%. EDTA titration is used to determine the mass of aluminum. These methods provide a reliable technical basis for the accurate analysis of vanadium ferroaluminum content.
