This standard specifies the use of p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde Spectrophotometric method, spec-trophotometry for the determination of monomethylhydrazine in surface water and aerospace industry wastewater. This method is suitable for water samples with a determination range of 0.02 to 0.80 mg/L, and for water samples with a content higher than 0.80 mg/L, it can be determined after dilution. Under acidic conditions, monomethylhydrazine reacts with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde to form a yellow condensate, and its concentration is determined by spectrophotometry at 470 nm. This method is suitable for water quality monitoring and the detection of industrial wastewater.
