This standard specifies a method for the determination of iron content in zirconium and zirconium alloys using the 1,10-diazafenanthrene Spectrophotometric method, spectrophotometry and Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) methods. It is suitable for the analysis of iron content in sponge zirconium, zirconium and zirconium alloys, and the determination range is 0.010% to 0.40%. Two determination methods are provided, among which Spectrophotometric method, spectrophotometry is the arbitration method.
